Village Ambiance Ombudsperson & Decluttering Unicorn: Natalie Contact: [email protected] The person in this role works to ensure that the village is and stays free from clutter, as well as safe from trip hazards or otherwise. Its often easy for various projects to remain unfinished or in various states of work. We want to provide a clean and clear space for campers and visitors to walk freely and without distraction or danger. We also want to ensure that pathways are well lit and obvious. This person coordinates with the build team lead, the camp Ambiance Coordinator, the camp safety officer, the Leave No Trace Coordinator, the camp instigator, and with other camp leaders in the village to make all of these things happen througout the week. Photoboard Curator: Alexia Contact: [email protected] The Photoboard Curator ensures that each camp member has a photograph uploaded to the website for use on the Camp Photoboard. Photos are nice when they show a clear view of the camper's face, unless the camper otherwise requests privacy. This person will be a part of the build team and will arrive on Monday or Tuesday. This person should have a strong spacial sense, and be good with receiving feedback and incorporating it into the design and layout of the kitchen. This role involves considering the various stations that are set up in the kitchen including meat prep stove, veggie prep stove, fridges, hand washing stations, dish washing station, juicing station, rice cooking station, and others. Or, pods could be a squad, or a group of campers who are typically in another camp,but their camp isn't big enough to have a full presence or bring their gear to a burn. Don't over-think pods -- they are permeable and not meant to be particularly exclusive, they're more a cognitive tool to help understand the organization of camp as a whole. Sometimes pods choose to offer a particular piece of interactivity / special event or meal for camp.
