Wifi Coordinator

Ensures that a clear vision for campers and friends to respect and understand consent is in place and that leaders are in place to support any cases that emerge where consent has been violated.

Coordinates Acro Yoga events (classes and jams)  for camp!

Coordinates Meditation Events held at camp. Works with our Main Event coordinator to get events added to our directory and also coordinates with our internal (camp private) events coordinator for any Meditations or Yoga that might happen as a special event for the camp. Works to have a morning Meditation and then a Yoga class happening each morning, typically in the Alps.

The Chief of Staff is overall coordinator & project manager for the various staff and campers coming together to make camp happen. They support planning and operations for the main event and communicate important announcements and deadlines for fulfilling the camp mission.

Forget batteries? Need a bandaid? We have a General Store to assist our campers with general needs at camp. What we don't have is someone to lead this space! A good person for this role is someone that likes to keep track of items and is proficient with spreadsheets. Other skills include being able to think outside the box of what someone might forget/need.

This is a crucial role. The person in this position will be responsible for knowing who is arriving and when. They will also be the curator of any online realms to connect people that need rides to people that have space in their vehicles. Ideal candidate will enjoy weaving people together for the greater good and like spreadsheets. 

Note: this role is essential pre-playa and will not (currently) extend to leaving playa

We have a few spaces here in our camp for private and public use that are looking for people with a magic for decor. Specifically, these people will assist our Ambiance and Atmosphere lead is setting our containers for the camp lounge and workshop spaces.

Some people like to build and some people like to make sure the build/strike teams are well taken care of. Who do we wanna call? The Fluff Squad Lead! The person for this role is filled with love and great at guiding others, time management and making schedules. Their roles will be to make sure our build/strike teams are well fluffed in terms of hydrating foods and refreshments. They will also be responsible for overseeing the body work team and connecting our body workers to the members of the build/strike teams that need some extra love. 

Simply put, these leads (2 people) work together to place our tent wielding campers in a cohesive way. 

What? I can't hear you because the person that filled this role is AMAZING at sound placement and maintenance. They will head the sound sector of camp with their team. We hope to bring in a few people on the same wavelength... ;-) The lead of this group will be someone that is excellent at disseminating information, specifically on troubleshooting our sound equipment (speakers, wires, microphones). 

Creates a space that feels comfortable, invigorating, and inspirational through decorations, lighting, and clearings. (There are 2 positions for the Curator, one is for Build and one is for Strike)

Heart Squad Leader. The creatrix of the blanket of love and safety that we all need from time to time so we can process our emotions. This role is for someone that can guide a team in best practices for holding space emotionally for our camp mates. (2 positions Build/Event and Event/Strike) The coordinators would also be a space holder specifically for the Emotional Support team to allow them to process their experiences in the role.

This individual ensures that camp contact offers a safe space for BIPOC campers and attendees to coordinate with other "Social Cohesion" related Stewards/Leaders such as our Consent Team Lead and our Resolution Counselor/Emotional Support lead on any related issues and also to work with the Burning Man Org's R.I.D.E. (Radical Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) program which is working to ensure that burners as a whole understand important concepts related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Ensures that we have a safe storage area for our fuel based on rules set forth by the burn or event and that systems are in place to obtain and replenish fuel for support of camp infrastructure.

A clever camp thinks about the cars arriving not just because they bring people, but because they also act as wind blocks. The "Car Tzar" will oversee the parking team to ensure everyone is on the same page when it comes to placing our automotive friends. A good person for this role is someone that is comfortable in a "no ifs/ands/or butts [this is not a typo ;-)] about it" role. 

This role is responsible for handling registrations for bus (facilitated by our camp website) and ensuring that all goes smoothly for people coming to ride the bus.  A list of campers with contact info will be provided.  This steward should be available to contact campers and will ride on the bus.  They will be responsible for only one trip.  There will be a different bus trip manager for each trip.

This person checks out the gear that we have available for loan to campers and ensures that we have enough gear to accommodate needs and assigns it out to each person as they check in upon arrival.  The list of gear desired appears on the camp coordination document.  This person should come in by Wednesday of build week to inventory and coordinate the distribution of gear to campers as they arrive.

Responsible for ensuring that the camp gets built.

This team is responsible for communicating, organizing, and overseeing the loading and unloading of Camp Contact equipment and gear via the container from the Washington D.C. to Black Rock City and back.

responsible for ensuring that the chefs have what they need and ensure that all meals have chefs lined up to lead the preparation of the meals.

Responsible for convening the camp.

This person does an inventory of the sleeping bags and tents that we have left over at the end of the week and takes photos of them and then accommodates requests for them for the following year.
